One idyllic July day, lazing on the dock on beautiful Lake Muskoka, I was watching my children splash through the sparkling water, soaking up the sunshine and freedom that is synonymous with summer.
 

I noticed that each time they emerged from the water, soaking wet and laughing, they would wrap a towel around themselves. But the towel kept falling off, getting wet and sandy, leaving them cold and uncomfortable. Talk about putting a damper on a perfect day! The only solution? Change their clothes, several times a day. I remember thinking, "wouldn’t it be amazing if they could wear something that kept them dry and warm but actually still looked cool?"

The next year my kids became wakeboard fanatics. The ski boat would go from dawn to dusk. IN THE BOAT, BACK ON THE WAKEBOARD, IN THE BOAT, BACK ON THE WAKEBOARD. They would shiver as they got back in the boat to sit on their heavy, soggy towels. Enough was enough. The time had come to throw discomfort overboard!
